How do I prepare pu-erh tea?

In this article, you will find the temperature, serving size, and steep time for our pu-erh teas.

While we recommend particular times, temperatures, and serving sizes, this is really up to your preference and tastes.

Pu-erh teas are post-fermented green or black teas that have been aged, sort of like fine wine.
You can do an "awakening" of the tea leaves by using 8 ounces of water at 206 F and rinsing them, then immediately drain them. Then you can steep as per the instructions below.

For most pu-erh teas, we recommend one tablespoon unless indicated otherwise in the directions, a water temperature of 206 F, and let the tea leaves steep for 3-5 minutes.
